Attention, furparents! Great news, because the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Hong Kong’s largest hub for animal welfare, is resuming its 24-hour veterinary emergency and hospital services.

Starting June 3, furparents can visit SPCA’s Wan Chai Centre to get emergency care for their furbabies at any time.

The service will be reopened after being temporarily suspended in mid-2022 because of the global pandemic.

SPCA's 24-hour hospital at Wan Chai promises to cater to pets’ health needs with high-quality consultations, skilled veterinary surgeons, as well as numerous upgraded facilities where animals can rest and recover more comfortably.

Furparents can book an appointment at the hospital by calling SPCA at 2802 0501 or by visiting any SPCA center. Their 24-hour hotline, 2711 1000, is also open for out-of-hour emergencies.

Aside from this, SPCA is also set to open its SPCA Jockey Club Centennial Centre in Tsing Yi later this year, along with a mobile spay and neuter vehicle.

Since the establishment of SPCA’s first hospital in Kowloon in 1951, the organization has helped pets and pet owners in Hong Kong get comprehensive veterinary services. They have also been rescuing stray animals, helping them find homes with their adoption programs, and educating the public on animal welfare through various outreach efforts.
