Hong Kong’s leading food rescue app CHOMP is turning one on Nov. 11 and hosting a mega party at Soho House in Sheung Wan to celebrate 365 days saving food wastage and incubating a culinary revolution in Hong Kong.
With food, drinks, music, and major prizes to win on the night, the CHOMP team invites current partner vendors and friends and family of the business to celebrate saving the planet one download at a time.
Co-founded by Carla Martinesi, food rescue app CHOMP aims to use technology to attack Hong Kong’s food waste problem found in the city’s food and beverage business.
Soft-launched in August 2021, CHOMP is a mobile app that lets users “rescue” food at a discounted price, while helping store owners clear out their excess supply.
In honour of CHOMP’s birthday, the app has also collaborated with HK Tramways to wrap a tram that will run across Hong Kong Island. It will host a giveaway of 6 packs of Breer, two tickets to the CHOMP Turns One Party, and two passes for “one-week free coffee, two cups per day” from Flash Coffee.
To enter the giveaway, find the CHOMP tram, take a photo and share it on your story with #SpotCHOMP, and tag us @chompfoodwaste.
