On Sept.13, 2025, the Andaz Kitchen will be bringing together culinary teams from Andaz Macau, Galaxy Macau, and independent local vendors for a vibrant mosaic of Macau’s Chinese and Portuguese heritage.
The Sino-Luso Gastronomic Bazaar celebrates Macau’s rich heritage as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, showcasing a journey through Portugal’s diverse regions and China’s culinary heartlands from Trás-O-Montes to the Pearl River Delta. Guests can expect authentic dishes, handpicked wines, and artisanal finds while exploring flavors that have shaped Macau’s heritage.

Portuguese specialties, led by Executive Chef André Lai, include Bola de Carne à Transmontana(Smoked Charcuterie and Olive Oil Bread), Sopa de Peixe de Nazaré(Seafood Soup), Sopa Alentejana com Bacalhau(Braised Pork Collar with Clams and Fried Potatoes), and more. Complementing them are dishes from Galaxy Macau’s most beloved restaurants — Bei Shan Lou, Spicy Sichuan, and Pak Lo Chiu Chow Restaurant — presenting Northeast Chinese, Sichuan, and Chiu Chow cuisines.
The evening’s centrepiece is a four-hand dinner helmed by Chef André Lai and Executive Chef Chek Keong Chan of Feng Wei Jui, the two-Michelin-starred Hunan and Sichuan restaurant at StarWorld Hotel. Together, they will craft a celebratory dinner menu that bridges robust flavours from Northern Portugal and Michelin-starred Hunan and Sichuan savoir-faire.
Beyond the gilded plates, visitors and guests can expect live music, artful ambiance, and a marketplace of artisanal produce from Portugal and China. Local favourites such as Hop Kei Peanut Candies, Chui Heong Bakery, and Macalhau Portuguese Codfish Restaurant also add a vibrant local flavour to the international affair.

Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is strengthening its position in the city’s nightlife scene as its very own Aubrey After Dark unveils a refreshed music-led programme ahead of its second anniversary.
Hosted every Friday at The Aubrey, the hotel's Japanese izakaya and cocktail bar overlooking Victoria Harbour, the nightlife series evolves throughout the night from an intimate dining space into a high-energy dance floor. It continues under the direction of nightlife curator Marina Bullivant, who is a long-established figure in Hong Kong’s late-night scene. Her approach emphasizes organic musical flow and trust in the room, allowing DJs to shape the night gradually and create a space where guests across generations feel equally at home.
Along with Bullivant's solid reputation, this year marks a notable expansion in the series' creative leadership with the appointment of Hallex M as Director of Music and Entertainment.
A French DJ and producer with more than three decades of experience, Hallex brings an internationally informed perspective to the lineup, balancing resident DJs with carefully selected regional and global guests. His sound remains rooted in house music, moving fluidly between classic, deep, and soulful styles, with Afro and Latin influences shaping the atmosphere alongside resident DJ Julia Marcs.

The anniversary season opens on Mar. 6, 2026, with guest DJ Q Narongwate, followed by a milestone celebration on May 15, 2026, when Aubrey After Dark marks two years with a headline set from French house DJ Fudge.
Since its launch, Aubrey After Dark has built a loyal following, drawing a cross-generational crowd that returns weekly for its consistent focus on sound, movement, and late-night momentum. As it enters its next chapter, the message remains clear: a credible dance floor built on music, energy, and trust is at the center of modern hotel nightlife.

Ever wanted to experience what it’s like to be in a game theater performance?
This March 2026, multidisciplinary artist Jing Wong will be redefining live performance with “When the World is Your Enemy” — an immersive, live-action worldbuilding simulation that blends theater, gaming, puppetry, and storytelling in one evolving world.
Designed as an interactive, live-action simulation, “When the World is Your Enemy” places its viewers at the center of the story. Participants are drawn into a volatile mythic system, where civilizations rise and fall under unseen forces, and are invited to co-create their environment, shape outcomes, or embrace chaos — exploring how group dynamics and relationships can lead to victory or decline.
Photo from Instagram/WestK Hong Kong
Viewers can choose from two identities to participate in the game: Humans, those who shape new societies by building, competing, and working with neighbors; and Gods, divine participants from the heavens who influence the course of human civilization for entertainment.
“When the World is Your Enemy” explores the creation and fragility of myths, systems, and authority, eventually asking the question, “When power is shared, deferred or unseen, who is truly responsible for the world that emerges?”
The March presentation will be first released as a work-in-progress edition at The Room, Freespace, with the full production scheduled for autumn 2026.
The program is co-presented by WestK Performing Arts and The Drifters@Jing Wong Creations, as part of the WestK Creator series.
“When the World is Your Enemy” will run on the weekends from Mar. 7 to 22, 2026. English-language sessions will be held on Mar. 19 and 20, 2026, at 7:30 PM, while the rest are in Cantonese. Tickets are available via the website, priced at HK$400 for each role.
For each performance, the “Humans” will be divided into six groups of four, with groups to be assigned by the ticket system.
For more information and updates, visit the WestK website and follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

All 14 markets across the city run from Feb. 11-17, bursting with orchids, peach blossoms, dyed pussy willows, kumquat trees, and the occasional strange knobbly plant that someone’s aunt insists is essential for good fortune.
Each flower comes with its own symbolism: peach blossoms for romance and fresh beginnings, kumquats for prosperity, chrysanthemums for resilience and longevity, and narcissus for renewal. Pick up a slightly overpriced plant and bring some auspicious energy into your living room.
Location: 1 Hing Fat St, Causeway Bay
Dates: Feb. 11-17, 2026
2. Go Watch a Lion Dance at The Peninsula Hong Kong
Website/ The Peninsula Hong Kong
Few things say “New Year is here” quite like a lion dance, and The Peninsula Hong Kong is bringing one of the most spectacular shows on Feb. 17, 2026, at 9 AM.
Watch as elaborately costumed lions burst into the hotel lobby, drums pounding in sync with their every move. The traditional eye-dotting ceremony “awakens” the lions, setting the stage for a mesmerizing performance of leaps, spins, and blessings for good fortune.
Just as thrilling as you remember — this is an unforgettable way to start the holiday.
Location: Salisbury Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui
Date: Feb. 17, 2026
3. Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade
Website/ Hong Kong Tourism Board
Get ready, Tsim Sha Tsui — because on Feb. 17, the Chinese New Year Night Parade turns the streets into one long, glowing runway of color and lights. Kicking off at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza and weaving down Canton Road, Haiphong Road, and Nathan Road, before ending near the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers, the parade promises a sparkly evening from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
This year, the streets will dazzle with colorful lights, lanterns, and a high-energy line-up of local and international performers. Although tickets for the spectator stands at the Cultural Centre are sold out, the parade can still be enjoyed for free along the route, just stake out a pavement spot and soak up Hong Kong’s biggest, most joyful street party to ring in the Year of the Horse.
Hong Kong’s skyline is set to steal the spotlight on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 8 PM, when the annual Chinese New Year Fireworks Display explodes over Victoria Harbour in a 23-minute, 31, 888-shell spectacle. Coordinated by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau and sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, this year’s show blends heritage with creativity that will light up Hong Kong like never before.
Themed “Prosperity Gallops Across Hong Kong,” the light show opens with horses charging across the sky, building into sweeping layers of fireworks that evoke thousands more in motion.
Expect symbolic nods throughout, from glowing “8” formations and golden ingots, to a serene sequence ending with the character “吉” for good fortune. The finale, titled “Triumphant Achievement”, promises crown-shaped fireworks and rapid-fire bursts that go out with a bang.
Enhanced lighting effects will amplify the drama, and you can catch the show from both sides of the harbor: Tsim Sha Tsui, Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Hung Hom and even Mid-Levels vantage points. For the full cinematic effect, tune into RTHK Radio 4 (FM 97.6–98.9) for synchronized music.
