WHAT'S ON

Art Basel Hong Kong 2024 Returns to Pre-Pandemic Scale with 242 Exhibitors

Art Basel Hong Kong is on track to return to its pre-pandemic scale for its 2024 edition, with 242 galleries from 40 countries and territories set to join. This represents a 37% increase compared to 2023 and indicates a resurgence in the art scene, featuring a rich tapestry of artists and perspectives from around the world.

Notably, more than half of the exhibitors operate within Asia-Pacific, emphasizing the growing prominence of Asian art scenes on the global stage. The return of 68 galleries after a hiatus, including prestigious names like Galerie Lelong & Co., Galleria d’Arte Maggiore G.A.M., kurimanzutto, and Experimenter, further adds to the anticipation surrounding this event.

A key highlight of the 2024 showcase is the participation of 25 galleries from across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, joining the fair for the first time. This influx represents an exciting opportunity to discover fresh artistic voices and diverse artistic traditions previously unexplored within the context of Art Basel Hong Kong.

Art Basel Hong Kong 2024 will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from March 28 to 30, 2024, with preview days on March 26 and 27.
