Hong Kong Art Week is fast approaching, art enthusiasts!
Art Central has announced the first wave of artists and project highlights for its eleventh edition, marking the start of its 2026 gallery program. A cornerstone event of Hong Kong Art Month and presented with Lead Partner UOB, the fair will run from Mar. 25 to 29, 2026, with a VIP Preview on Mar. 24, returning to its iconic Central Harbourfront location as one of the city’s key art calendar events.
Entering its second decade, the early announcement spotlights a mix of breakthrough voices and internationally recognized practices across the fair’s sectors, including Central Stage, Neo, and the Yi Tai Sculpture and Installation Projects.

Central Stage will feature Iranian-American artist and educator Elnaz Javani and Lithuanian artist Marta Fréjutė, joining the previously confirmed collective SIDE CORE. The platform spotlights artists with recent or upcoming participation in major exhibitions and biennials, as well as mid-career artists and more.
The Neo sector is dedicated to emerging galleries and talents, welcoming ten participants for this year — six returning galleries and four new participants – with each one showcasing new and cross-disciplinary talents from Asia and beyond to Art Central: Ma Kelu, Maxim Zhestkov, and Marlene Steyn.
Meanwhile, the Yi Tai Sculpture and Installation Projects will be presenting five ambitious new installations, including three by Hong Kong artists, expanding the fair’s program of site-specific installations beyond the limitations of the gallery booth.
Entering its eleventh year, Art Central 2026 returns with a program driven by discovery, diverse artist perspectives, and curatorial rigor, bringing together more than 100 galleries and 500 artists from Hong Kong, across Asia, and beyond, underscoring its role as the region’s platform for emergent voices and new collecting possibilities.

lullaboy’s presence has been anything but ordinary, having taken his storytelling and stellar records to major festival stages around the world. In 2024, he closed all six nights of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Singapore. In 2025, he was the first Singaporean artist to perform at Summer Sonic Bangkok and performed at the Sing60 Music Festival.

Hong Kong’s iconic Lin Heung Lau is marking the end of an era with an unexpected late-night transformation—turning its century-old Central tea house into a rave for one night only.
Before the nearly 100-year-old institution relocates from its historic Wellington Street address, Lin Heung Lau has partnered with global music collective RaveDAO to stage “Dim Sum Rave” on April 18, blending traditional yum cha culture with electronic music in a rare, one-off event.

Founded in the 1920s, Lin Heung Lau has long been a fixture of Central, known for its communal tables, rolling carts stacked with bamboo steamers, and classic Cantonese tea house vibes.
While the restaurant announced earlier this year that its Central branch will move to Tung Ning Building on Des Voeux Road Central due to redevelopment, the upcoming event offers a final farewell to the original space- reimagined after dark.

Once the lights dim at 10 PM, the tea house will be transformed into a late-night dance floor, with their beloved dim sum fare stacked alongside pulsing beats. While the full DJ lineup has yet to be announced, the night is set to feature a mix of international and local artists, bringing electronic music into one of Central’s most storied dining rooms.
The event coincides with Hong Kong Sevens weekend and Web3 Festival week, drawing both local and international crowds into the city. Organizers describe the night as a collision of old and new—where dim sum, music, and Hong Kong’s cultural legacy meet inside a space that has witnessed generations of city life.

Jazzing Cinema makes its return this May with a two-night program reimagining the mood, rhythm, and restless city nights of Wong Kar-wai’s “Chungking Express” through live jazz.
Organized by Gentle Pause in collaboration with local jazz ensemble Fountain de Chopin, the two-night jazz experience is set against the waterfront of K11 MUSEA, creating a cinematic space where longing and city rhythm translate into sound, light, and evocative visual fragments.

Taking place on May 1 and 2, 2026, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM at the Sculpture Park, the event offers a standing room experience with a dress code of green or yellow. Tickets are available via art-mate.net, priced at HK$498, with the first 350 tickets including one “Chungking Express” inspired cocktail.
Released in 1994, “Chungking Express” is a crime, romantic comedy-drama film starring Takeshi Kaneshiro and Tony Leung.
