Get ready for a Mid-Autumn Festivallike no other, with a three-day lineup of events that promises to light up your nights and leave you awestruck.
The first-ever seasonal drone show, a dazzling 10-minute display will take place at the Wan Chai Harborfront area, starting at 8 PM.Prepare to see the night sky over Victoria Harbour transform into a canvas of colorful Mid-Autumn icons, with around 1,000 drones that will resemble rabbits, mooncakes, traditional lanterns, and fiery dragons.
Beat the crowds and head to Wan Chai HarbourChill or the Water Sports and Recreation Precinct early for the best views of the light show. The Hong Kong Tourism Boardrecommends grabbing a spot along the waterfront for the best views, as the show won’t be visible fromKowloon.
Starting on Sept. 16, the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance will blaze through the streets of Tai Hang. This century-old tradition in Hong Kong, spanning the length of five and a half double-decker buses,is crafted with over 10,000 burning incense sticks and led by 300 participants.
Together with the resounding symphony of traditional Chinese gongs and drums, the dragon will weave a fiery path through the streets, creating a spectacle that is sure to leave onlookers mesmerized.
What's more, the Tai Hang Fire Dragon has an exciting new companion this year — a dazzling 20-meter LED dragon carried by around 100 children. Together they will parade down an extended route from Wun Sha Street to Tung Lo Wan Road. The event will be streamed live from Victoria Park over all three days, enabling even more people to join in the fun.
To add to the festivities, fire dragon decorations will spruce up the Central-Mid-Levels Escalators, MTR digital displays, and even two trams.
