Kicking off on Aug. 22, WOAW Gallery is set to invigorate the Hong Kong art scene with the grand opening of its latest location on Sun Street, Wan Chai. The new space has been expertly designed by the acclaimed Beau Architects, complementing its original gallery venue.
The launch is marked by a dual exhibition featuring the brilliant works of Korean artist Taedong Lee and local talent Kitty Ng. One exhibition will be hosted in the new location at 3 Sun Street Wan Chai, while the other will grace the original gallery space, further down the same road. Together, these exhibitions symbolize WOAW Gallery's role as a bridge, fostering dialogues between global artistic communities.
Founded in 2019 by Kevin Poon, WOAW Gallery stands out as a unique cultural establishment in the contemporary Asian art scene. In its four-year tenure, WOAW has introduced Hong Kong to a broad spectrum of international artists and groundbreaking themes, rarely touched upon within Asian society.
After an impactful brick-and-mortar debut in Singapore earlier this year, the gallery strategically chose to celebrate its latest milestone in its beloved hometown.
From its inaugural space in Wan Chai to the additions in Central, Beijing, and Singapore, WOAW Gallery has evolved into a multi-dimensional hub for creative individuals from regional Asia and beyond.
