Backed by Danish-based venture capital firm Moehlholm Capital & Consulting, The Editors Company’s online home styling platform is “intensely customer-centric," building long-term relationships with its Hong Kong and Asia customer base in order to meaningfully improve their homes.

Their interior styling service is a guided process in decorating a home that caters to personal needs, traits, and vibe. Pairing customers with a personal home stylist, The Editors Company assists homeowners in the collaborative process, from conceptualisation of a design plan to material procurement.

For a flat fee of HK$3,500 per room, The Editors Company helps you create your dream home. They work with more than 60 Hong Kong and international brands, including furniture, accessories, rugs, lighting, colours, curtains, and florals.

To learn more about The Editors Company, we spoke to CEO Aaron and Fion about their missions and vision.

Hi Aaron and Fion, what makes The Editors Company so valuable for the Hong Kong residential market?

Hong Kong is a stressed-out city, so we help people create sanctuaries to come home to. It's a high-touch online service in which our home stylists closely collaborate with customers to create homes that feel authentically "them."

On top of that, our home stylist guides people through a seamless, no-hassle process. This helps a lot during these usually stressful times. We decorate homes thoughtfully with loose furniture, lighting, decor, and plants, which usually create an airier and easy vibe. We are more about creating more life at home, and our medium to elevate that is through home styling.

To Editors Company, what principles are important for interior design and decoration?

Being human-centric in our service is super important to us. Since early on, we realised that every customer comes to us at a new chapter of their lives - maybe it's a new home for a new marriage, expanding family, or simply creating a better home for the soul.

After serving and getting to know our more than 400 homes, we have come to appreciate these unique stories in our customers and their families. With our service, we are collaborative, to know what our customers' aspirations and requirements are, and work within the practical limits to curate homes uniquely perfect for each customer.

What makes a house a home?

We believe that a good life is all about relationships. So, what makes a house a home is a space where you feel authentically yourself, and in turn supports relationships to thrive - relationships with your family, with your friends, and even with yourself.

For example, we help customers decorate their homes with intentionality, such as dining rooms that promote conversations, living rooms that encourage gathering, or bedrooms that are suited for rest.

What brands do you work with to create a home?

We work with almost all the (good) brands and sellers in Hong Kong. Apart from the bigger usual suspects like TREE and Indigo Living, we also work with smaller boutique stores around the city, as well as dealers that carry beautiful European furniture and decor, especially Scandinavian.

Apart from furniture, we also help our customers with more foundational elements like decorative lighting, rugs, curtains, and wall paints.
