Global Gaming Expo Asia Heads to Macau for 1st Onsite Event Since Pandemic
The Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) will be held in Macau in June, marking its first onsite event since 2019 and stirring hopes for a sustained revival of the city's casino market.
G2E Asia, the region's biggest gaming-entertainment networking event, will run from May 30 to June 1 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, before heading to The Venetian Macao on July 11-13. This is a much-needed boost for Macau's pandemic-hit casino and gaming sector, and fuels hopes for a continued recovery of the local economy. The resumption of G2E Asia's onsite event follows the relaxation of COVID-19 measures in the city and mainland China.
In a statement, organizers said the event is expected to "drive business diversification and get expert insights on Macau’s latest economic development," as well as “bring tourism and entertainment products beyond gaming, to Macau and support business diversification."
Organized by the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions, G2E Asia is an annual event in Macau that began in 2007.
