Filipina actress Belle Mariano has won the coveted “Outstanding Asian Star” award at the Seoul Drama Awards (SDA). Known as the second half of the breakout loveteam “DonBelle,” Belle becomes the first Filipina to win the award at one of Asia’s most prestigious award-giving bodies.
Belle has been recognized for her outstanding portrayal of Maxpein Luna in the hit pandemic-born series “He’s Into Her,” which was based on the 2012 novel of the same name. She officially joins China’s Wallace Chung and Japan’s Yusei Yagi as one of the five winners of the SDA's "Outstanding Asian Star” award.
According to the SDA, the winners will make an appearance at the live awards ceremony on Sept. 22. The venue has yet to be announced, but fans can watch the SDA on KBS2TV and YouTube.
