PH Officially Launches eTravel Platform for Inbound Travelers

The Philippine government officially launched the eTravel portal on Monday at Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Pasay City. The Department of Information and Communications (DICT) shared the official launching via Facebook on Dec. 6.

The eTravel portal is a multi-agency initiative by the DICT, Bureau of Immigration, Department of Tourism, Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), Department of Transportation, Department of Health, and Bureau of Customs, and replaces the former One Health Pass required of inbound travelers.

Touted as a one-stop electronic travel declaration system, the eTravel portal was developed as an online health declaration and contract tracing platform to "promote convenient and seamless movement of international travelers from the country of origin to arrival at the local government unit of destination."

The eTravel system allows the national government to keep a database of travelers who enter the country in case they become afflicted with a disease. Foreigners and Filipinos alike, including children and infants, are required to register individually to the eTravel within three days or 72 hours before their arrival in the Philippines.

Upon registering, travelers will be issued either a green QR code, which means all information and attachments are complete, or a red QR code, meaning there are missing requirements. Travelers with a red QR code will be interviewed by BOQ personnel upon arrival for manual verification.

Travelers will be asked to present proof of their eTravel registration before flight boarding. The web-based eTravel portal is free of charge and mobile responsive. For more information, check out https://etravel.gov.ph.
