Do you plan on visiting the Philippines but worry about not being able to connect with your loved ones at home? Fret not because telecommunications company Globe has launched its newest Prepaid Traveller eSIM!

With the new eSIM, travellers will have an “effortless and cost-effective way” to stay connected while in the country, Globe said in a press release.

To get a Prepaid Traveller eSIM, you can purchase one via the GlobeOne app. For now, the service is only available for iOS users, but it will soon be rolled out on Android devices as well. The app will run a compatibility check to confirm if the device is eSIM-ready.

The best thing about it? You can get the eSIM even before you land in the Philippines, saving you from the hassle of queuing at airport booths.

Just a reminder, though, the Traveller eSIMs must be registered in line with the Philippines’ SIM Registration Act. Each eSIM is valid for up to 30 days, but you can repurchase another one if you’re staying in the country for more than a month.

There will also be physical traveller SIM cards for those whose devices are not compatible with the eSIM. You can check the rates here.

For more information about the service, download the GlobeOne app or visit Globe’s website.
