DOTr: MRT-3 to Operate Shorter Hours During Holidays
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Monday, Dec. 19, that the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will have shorter operating hours during the next two holiday weekends.
On Dec. 24 and 31, the first train at North Avenue station will depart at 4:37 AM and the last train at 7:48 PM. The earliest trip from Taft Avenue station will commence at 5:18 AM with the last flight at 8:26 PM.
Come Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2023, northbound and southbound trips will start at 6:30 AM. The last train at North Avenue station will leave at 9:30 PM and final trip at Taft Avenue station at 10:09 PM.
Meanwhile, the regular weekend schedule will be followed on Dec. 30 and Jan. 2, 2023.
The agency advised passengers to adhere to its protocols such as not bringing food and drinks inside the train, wearing face masks, physical distancing for adequate ventilation, and putting phones on silent mode throughout the ride. Travelers with symptoms of COVID-19 are encouraged to stay at home.
