Pedal Power: Indoor Cycling Studios in the Metro

Indoor Cycling Studios in the Metro

Although we aren't opposed to cycling outdoors, there are times when it's preferable to cycle in a controlled environment, where you can put to rest fears like getting hit by a jeepney or wading through areas that have no proper bike lanes.

Enter indoor cycling, one of the most popular and fun fitness classes you can take. Also known as spinning, this workout will have you sweating and your blood pumping as you pedal on a stationary bike to upbeat music and dim lights. It is intense, surely, but not unwelcoming to beginners.

If you're interested in indoor cycling, you need not worry about keeping up with others in class, just your own pace. To get started, here are five indoor cycling studios you can check out in the metro, some of which also offer live classes and videos on demand.

Perigon

Perigon is an indoor cycling studio located in San Juan City. Created for the "undercover athlete," this studio goes beyond the definition of athleticism to cater to "elite performers in all areas of life." Perigon began offering in-studio classes again in March 2022, but those who prefer to work out in their own homes can sign up for its digital classes.

To celebrate its return to the studio, Perigon is currently offering class pass packs at 15% off, with five in-studio passes at P3,995; 10 passes at P7,225; and 20 passes at P13,595.

Location: 2/F Santolan Town Plaza — 276 Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue, San Juan

Electric Studio

If you want the ultimate sweat session, look no further than Electric Studio. Founded in 2015, it's the first indoor cycling boutique in the country to offer a full-body fitness experience. As the pandemic came to the fore, it was able to quickly adjust to the changing fitness landscape and became the first boutique studio in the country that fully shifted to virtual classes. Today, it has branched out to other classes like Electric Rhythm Boxing, Electric HIIT, Electric Strength, and Electric Flow.

The First Timer Pack In Studio is 33% off at P1,000 and comes with five free rides, while the First Timer Package for Electric at Home is priced at P1,500.

Location: Bonifacio Global City, Salcedo Village Makati, and Ortigas

Saddle Row

This dual-concept boutique fitness studio opened its doors in 2015 and brings cycling and rowing to the public under its Ride and Row classes. It also offers classes under its Realign program for an ultimate workout with little to no equipment needed. It offers in-studio classes, as well as live classes and videos on demand.

Saddle Row is offering Comeback Summer Passes from March 15-May 31, 2022. You can get 10 passes for just P6,500 and 25 passes for P12,500. To keep you on track, all 10 or 25 passes must be prebooked for future classes upon activation.

Locations: R3 Level, PowerPlant Mall, Makati City; 2F Central Square, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City

Ride Revolution

Ride Revolution is another boutique indoor cycling studio in the metro. A class lasts 45 minutes and promises an intense full-body workout, with every routine and playlist personalized according to your instructor. But more than just fun workouts, this studio also offers a supportive community who will encourage you to reach your goals. It currently offers in-studio and online classes, as well as on-demand videos.

Locations: Makati City, Bonifacio Global City, and Ortigas
