End 2021 With a Bang With These Online Concerts This December

Online Concerts This December featured image

The downgrading of Metro Manila to Alert Level 2 this November may just be the plot twist of the year. Who knew that we’d actually be able to go out once again and enjoy the things we used to pre-pandemic, from watching movies in the cinemas and attending concerts to museum and café-hopping?

Of course, this does not mean we should all head out with recklessness. We’re still in the middle of a pandemic, and many people, including us, may be skeptical still of the situation outside. If you’re like us and would rather put heading out on the backburner for now until the next levelling down, know that this does not mean we cannot have fun in the comforts of our own home. End 2021 with a bang with these online concerts happening this December.

‘Kuwaderno: A Ben&Ben Online Concert’

Fans of folk pop rock band Ben&Ben are spoiled with “Kuwaderno,” the band's first major online concert. This is happening at 8 PM on Dec. 5, with a unique livestreaming link to be sent to the ticket purchaser ahead of the event. The Kaibigan e-ticket, priced at P1,000, gives the viewer access to the online concert.

Superfans can opt for the Tinatangi ticket, priced at P8,000 each, which includes access to the online concert, plus an exclusive one-on-one harana session with Ben&Ben via Zoom, as well as a raffle entry, with the prize in the form of a private tour of the Ben&Ben House.

For those who love collecting merch, the Magka-ibigan ticket is for you. Priced at P3,500, it includes access to the online concert, plus a pirinted concert ticket, a concert T-shirt, a journal, as well as a raffle entry.

‘Salubong’

Have an OPM night on Dec. 10-11 with “Salubong,” an online Christmas concert with Aegis, Sponge Cola, and CLR! Are you having flashbacks right now of your mother or tita belting out "Basang-Basa Sa Ulan?" We are, too.

A general admission e-ticket costs P1,000! The livestream event on Dec. 10 will last from 8 PM to 11 PM, whereas the event on Dec. 11 will run from 10 AM to 1 PM.

‘Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Concert’

Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Concert.” If you missed this musical back when it was still being staged at Resorts World Manila, now's the time to experience it through an online concert. PS: You don’t have to be a full-fledged Eraserheads fan to love it, either.

"Ang Huling El Bimbo" is making its theatrical return with a live concert at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, but as much as we want to encourage people to go see it, we understand that not everyone's comfortable to go out and watch a live show just yet. If you're one of those who fall under the latter, don’t worry: consider the online concert instead, with general admission e-tickets priced at only P488 each. The livestream event will be held on Dec. 12, from 8 PM to 11 PM.

‘Holiday Serenade’

"Holiday Serenade" is a benefit concert by 10 artists and groups for 21 fishing communities in Lagonoy Gulf and Mindoro Strait. This is the perfect event if you love music and love the idea that you can help others out while enjoying what you love. The concert runs from Dec. 17-19, with the option to buy a full three-day pass for all performances.

The concert on Dec. 17 will see performances from Jim Paredes and Boboy Garrovillo, Hey Moonshine, Kundirana, and the De La Salle University-Dasmarinas Chorale. The Dec. 18 concert, meanwhile, will see performances from BINI, Reese Lansangan, and Rachel Alejandro. For an afternoon with Johnoy Danao, Nicole Asensio, and Haraya Choir, go for the concert on Dec. 19.

We recommend, though, that you opt for the three-day pass to enjoy all the performances! A gold e-ticket is priced at P1,700, silver at P1,600, and bronze at P1,500, all of which include three days of access to the livestream event, donations to the WWF-Philippines, and eligibility to join the concert raffle.

You may purchase tickets to the online concerts on KTX.
