MONO8 presents "A Bird, A Cage, A God of Flowers," a powerful solo exhibition by artist Pepe Delfin, running from July 26 to Sept. 27, 2025, with an opening reception on July 26 at 6 PM.
Borrowing its title from Mary Oliver’s "The Kookaburras," the exhibition navigates the emotional weight of trauma through Delfin’s striking geometric abstraction. Using line, color, and form, Delfin builds visual narratives that express the inexpressible, inviting viewers to encounter trauma not as spectacle but as an experience shaped by complexity, resistance, and healing.
Presented in collaboration with Lunas Collective, the exhibit offers more than aesthetic insight; it becomes a space for empathy and introspection. Delfin’s unique artistic language, a blend of mathematical precision and emotional resonance, makes each piece a quiet yet powerful act of storytelling.
Don’t miss this intimate, transformative show at MONO8!

Tumindig at Umibig… PA MORE! After a stellar run, Walang Aray returns for a 7-week victory encore from Aug. 29 - Oct. 12, 2025, at the PETA Theater Center.
This genre-bending musical comedy is a modern adaptation of Severino Reyes’ sarsuela, delivering a riotous, razor-sharp twist to the tale of lovers caught in the chaos of 1800s colonial Philippines. Bursting with funk, pop, irreverent humor, and proudly Filipino energy, "Walang Aray" explores identity, resistance, and romance through a wildly entertaining lens.
Expect a refreshed staging, wittier lines, and new cast additions in this latest run. Garnering eight PhilStage Gawad Buhay Awards, ten BroadwayWorld Philippines Awards, and four Philippine Leaf Awards, the production cements its place as one of the most celebrated contemporary Filipino musicals in recent years.
Presented by PETA, this satirical masterpiece is both a tribute to Philippine theatrical heritage and a bold leap into the now. Whether you’re watching again or for the first time, "Walang Aray" promises a show that’s heart-stopping, heart-warming, and heart-racing in equal measure.
