#play14 Manila 2026 is part of a global, non-profit movement that believes in the transformative power of play as a tool for learning, connection, and creativity. Taking place from April 10 to 12, 2026 at Ayala Museum, this three-day unconference offers an immersive experience where participants explore ideas through hands-on games, dialogue, and playful experimentation.
Unlike traditional conferences, #play14 is an unconference, meaning all attendees are contributors. Participants are encouraged to propose games, facilitate sessions, or join activities suggested by others. The agenda is co-created on the spot, allowing conversations and experiences to emerge organically based on what matters most to the community in the room.
The event welcomes facilitators, educators, coaches, HR and L&D leaders, game designers, and anyone curious about play. Sessions focus on serious games and playful practices that encourage creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and deeper understanding—skills that can be applied in workplaces, classrooms, workshops, and community spaces.
As a community-driven, non-profit initiative, #play14 Manila is focused on sharing knowledge rather than selling services. Event fees cover venue rental, food, and materials, with any surplus donated to Ayala Foundation, reinforcing the movement’s commitment to social impact.

In its 92nd season, the Far Eastern University Theater Guild (FTG) presents BANGAW, a bold Filipino play with music adapted from William Golding’s novel Lord of the Flies. Opening March 5 at the FEU Center for the Arts Studio, the production runs on select dates until April 25, 2026.
Written by Gold Villar-Lim, with music by Vince Lim and direction by PETA Senior Artist-Teacher and FTG Artistic Director Dudz Teraña, Bangaw reimagines the classic survival tale through a distinctly Filipino lens. Set on a remote island in the Visayas, the story follows high school students stranded after a plane crash. As order crumbles and fear takes hold, fascination with hunting and the myth of a lurking monster fracture the group’s fragile society. At the center stands Raf, determined to preserve structure, clashing with Jack’s descent into dominance and chaos.
Blending symbolic movement, raw emotional expression, and original Filipino soundscapes, Bangaw confronts themes of division, abuse of power, moral decay, and patriarchy—while reflecting resilience, bayanihan, and hope amid collapse.
Show Dates: March: 5–7, 12–14, 19–21, 26–28 April: 9–11, 16–18, 23–25
