Tony and Olivier winner Lea Salonga and Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee Dolly De Leon are set to headline the much-anticipated production, "Request Sa Radyo," running from Oct. 10-20, 2024, at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater, Circuit Makati.
"Request sa Radyo" (Wunschkonzert / Request Program) is a landmark theatrical piece by Franz Xaver Kroetz. This modern masterpiece captures the poignant solitude of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) as she navigates her meticulous evening routine, revealing the profound loneliness and yearning for connection beneath the surface.
Two of the Philippines' most acclaimed stage stars, Lea Salonga and Dolly de Leon, will take on the solo performance in scheduled alternating appearances, transforming the mundane into an extraordinary exploration of isolation and the human condition. Directed by Bobby Garcia with production design by Clint Ramos and sound design by Brad Ward, this unique theatrical experience is set to leave audiences contemplating the depths of solitude long after the curtain falls.

Get ready for a cinematic journey as the the 2025 Korean Film Festival: Scenes on Screen brings Korean cinema to the Philippines from Aug. 27 to Nov. 21, 2025. Organized by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC), this year’s festival features screenings, talks, and an in-depth exhibit on production design.
Kick off the festival on Aug. 27 at Cine Adarna, UP Film Institute, with a Talkback Session featuring Korean production designer Han Ah-rum ("Kill Boksoon"), producer RuBi, and Korean Film Council researcher Park Hee-seong, alongside Filipino filmmakers and the Film Development Council of the Philippines.
From Aug. 27 to Nov. 21, visit KCC in Taguig for the free exhibit "Production Design: Scene Architects Build On-Screen Worlds," spotlighting visual artists like Ryu Seong-hee ("Decision to Leave," "The Handmaiden") and Cho Hwa-sung ("Hansan: Rising Dragon").
Catch free film screenings from Aug. 29-31 at SM Mall of Asia, SM City Iloilo, and SM Lanang Premier, with titles including "I, The Executioner" (2024), "Concrete Utopia" (2023), and "Kingmaker" (2022).
Closing the festival is the Tingin Southeast Asian Film Festival on Sept. 26-27 at Gateway Cineplex 18.
