In Photos: Blaster, Ena Mori, & More Fill Fool Moon Party With Music, Magic
On April 1, arts and music aficionados gathered for a one-of-a-kind party to celebrate April Fool’s Day – “Fool Moon.”
Gig goers dressed up in their “most whimsical [selves]” inspired by any tarot card.
They were joined by Blaster and the Celestial Klowns, who performed their songs “Armonya,” “O Kay Ganda,” “Huwag Mabahala,” “Sa Huli Ang Pagsisisi,” “Dulo Ng Hangganan (cover),” “Disko Forever,” and “Nararararamdaman.”
Other OPM artists who rocked the night away included the band Cheats, led by Saab Magalona and her husband Jim Bacarro, who belted out “Accidents.”
Clad in a dainty long dress, Japanese-Filipino singer Ena Mori had a crowd-singing moment with her song “Vivid.” Her iconic octopus hat was also displayed on the stage.
Music fans also jammed with Of Mercury (formerly Nathan and Mercury) and sang along to “Swing” and “CHOLULA (Cut You Loose).”
Filipino indie pop quartet One Click Straight captivated the audience all night long with their songs “Untitled 01,” “Hahayaan,” and “MRT.”
Meanwhile, fans bought various art and music merch from Fool Moon shops present at the event. These included prints and stickers by artist and illustrator Gianne Encarnacion, digital art sketches by Vhane Gabiola aka Haranikala, and vinyl-laminated and water-resistant stickers from Makò Micro-Press, to name a few.
Miko Reyes of the SAIN’T capped off the night with some foot-tapping music and a chill DJ set.
The Fool Moon party was organized by indie company SYQL Productions and held at 123 Block Shaw Boulevard, Pleasant Hills, Mandaluyong City.
