The music collab you've been waiting for is finally here! Manila might be getting "All of Me" soon?

Proscenium Theater in Rockwell, Makati dropped a cryptic teaser on Instagram this week that has fans cautiously spiraling with a silhouette that looks close to EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award) winner John Legend.

The caption: "Save room for love this September. A night of pure soul comes to Manila. This time, more intimate and up close."

Nothing definitive. No confirmed dates or ticket prices. But the timing is hard to ignore. John Legend is currently midway through a globe-spanning run of his "An Evening with John Legend: A Night of Songs & Stories" tour. The deliberately intimate theater format is built around piano-driven music paired with personal storytelling, rather than an arena-sized spectacle.

The tour launched in the United States this past spring, taking Legend through intimate venues all over America. He is also going to make his way through Europe with stops in Athens, Rome, Rotterdam, and beyond. His nearest confirmed upcoming date to the Philippines is a stop in Doha, Qatar, on Sept. 10, 2026.

If Manila were to be included on the tour, or a high-caliber tribute to match the spirit, Proscenium Theater would be an apt venue. Nestled inside Rockwell Center in Makati City, the theater seats fewer than 800 people. With its intimate layout and natural acoustics, Legend's songs will carry clearly to every seat.

Gotta Run 'Em All: Pokémon RUN 30 Is Headed to the Philippines

Pokémon fans in the Philippines, rejoice and run!

Pokémon RUN 30: The Philippines Edition is set for Oct. 3 to 4, 2026, at SM Mall of Asia, bringing a roughly five-kilometer fun run and a free admission festival zone to the iconic Pasay venue. The event is part of a seven-region Asian celebration of the franchise's 30th anniversary.

Registered runners will take on an interactive course built around the Pokémon journey, while the Pokémon Festival Zone will be open free of charge to anyone who shows up, run bib or not. On-site merchandise will also be available for purchase throughout the weekend.

The fun run course is meant to simulate the experience of becoming a Pokémon trainer. Participants choose their first partner Pokémon at the starting line before heading into a route packed with interactive stops.

Pokémon Gym is the first major checkpoint, and throughout the course, Pokémon Center hydration stations are stationed to keep runners going. Runners also collect Pokédex stickers representing the Pokémon they encounter along the way. Cross the finish line with a completed sheet and watch your partner Pokémon evolve.

Every registered participant receives a Pokémon RUN 30 Runner's Kit, which includes a custom event t-shirt, a drawstring bag, and a type-themed bib. The bib comes paired with a matching First Partner Pokémon Lenticular Card featuring Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle, respectively. Rounding out the packed kit: a Poké Ball-themed arm band, a Pokédex search sheet, and a Pokémon Trading Card Game booster pack. Certain ticket tiers will also include a Pikachu shoulder plushie.

Participation fees have not yet been announced.

The Pokémon Festival Zone is the event's open-to-all section, and it is shaping up to be a full Pokémon experience in its own right. The hub is themed around the franchise's past, present, and future, anchored by the Pokémon Time Tunnel — a walkthrough exhibit tracing the history of Pokémon video games, the Trading Card Game, the anime series, and key milestones.

A Pikachu Parade and Meet & Greet will give attendees a dose of the franchise's most iconic face in person. The Pokémon Experience Zone also offers hands-on access to the latest Nintendo Switch 2 titles alongside mobile games and Trading Card Game demos. Photo spots and sponsor booths from regional partners 7-Eleven and UNIQLO complete the lineup. Festival Zone opening hours have not yet been confirmed.

“Paquita” will be staged from June 19 to 21, 2026, at the Aliw Theater, presenting the world premiere of Lisa Macuja Elizalde’s full-length staging of the classical ballet.

Based on the original choreography of Joseph Mazilier, Pierre Malavergne, and Marius Petipa, the play reintroduces the 19th-century ballet to Philippine audiences in its complete form for the first time. Set in Spain during the French occupation, the story follows a young woman raised among gypsies who gradually uncovers her true identity as themes of love, deception, and transformation unfold. As part of the PRIMA Performance Season, the staging reflects Lisa Macuja Elizalde’s personal curation of works significant to her artistic journey.

The production balances intimate storytelling with symbolic imagery, offering a theatrical experience rooted in both personal and collective narratives. The ensemble cast includes Bituin Escalante as Yemaya, Tommy Alejandrino and Benedix Ramos alternating as Jesus/Mulo, alongside Sheena Belarmino and Ness Roque as Maya.

“Live A.I.D.S. 36: Let There Be Laughs” returns June 26 to 28, 2026, at the IBG-KAL Theater in UP Diliman, marking another year for one of the country’s most enduring campus productions.

For over three decades, Live A.I.D.S. (Ang Istoryang Dinebelop ng SAMASKOM) has evolved into a defining platform for comedic and musical storytelling within the university and beyond. The 36th edition continues this approach, using humor as a lens to explore everyday realities and broader social themes. Through a mix of sketches, musical numbers, and ensemble performances, the production creates a stage space that merges entertainment with reflection.
