Pinoy indie folk band Munimuni’s fans are in for a treat, as the quintet is launching their latest single, “Kapayapaan.” The event, co-produced with SQYL Productions, will be held on June 10 at the Kubo Bar in Quezon City.
The five-piece band is composed of guitarist Ben Ayes, flutist and vocalist John Owen Castro, bassist Jolo Ferrer, guitarist and vocalist Adj Jiao, and drummer Josh Tumaliuan. The band describes their latest single as "a documentation of one's personal battles with anxiety” while yearning for peace of mind. The band also takes inspiration from their fans who have been comforted by their music.
Aside from the band’s performances, the launch will also feature sets by singer-guitarist Keiko Necesario; singer, songwriter, and record producer Johnoy Danao; and independent singer-songwriter Mei Teves.
Tickets for the launch are priced at P600 (Early Uwak), P650 (Regular), and P700 (Uwak-ins), and are available through this link.
Formed in 2012, Munimuni launched their EP “Simula” in 2017 and has been active since.
