‘One More Chance’ the Musical to Set on Stage Next Year
WHAT'S ON

Classic Filipino Film ‘One More Chance’ on Slate for a Musical Next Year

Experience the emotions of love and heartbreak through the story of Popoy and Basha in the iconic Filipino movie "One More Chance," which is finally getting its musical adaptation next year featuring the music of Filipino folk pop band Ben&Ben.

The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) made its announcement during the curtain call of the musical "Walang Aray," where Ben&Ben also made a surprise appearance to officially introduce the upcoming show.

Reenacting one of the iconic scenes from the film, "Walang Aray" actors Gio Gahol (Tenyong) and Marynor Madamesila (Julia) gave a small snippet of what's to come for the Star Cinema film favorite.

Set to take the stage in 2024, the musical rendition of "One More Chance" is expected to bring back the feelings the Filipino audience had the first time they watched the film, which was originally played by John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.

To give the stage more life, the hit songs of Ben&Ben, including "Kathang Isip" and "Araw-Araw," will be added for a modern touch.

No further details have been released yet. For more information, follow PETA's Facebook, Instagram, and X (formally Twitter) to learn more about this exciting on-stage adaptation!
