'Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular' Heads to Manila this January 2026

“Will you join in our crusade? Who will be strong and stand with me?”

The global stage phenomenon, "Les Misérables," is returning to Manila on an even grander scale, with a bold, reimagined production.

Cameron Mackintosh, in association with Nick Grace Management and GMG Productions, announced that the "Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular" will be staged at The Theatre at Solaire, with a limited run from Jan. 20 to Feb. 15, 2026.

The upcoming production coincides with the musical’s 40th anniversary at London’s Sondheim Theatre and is described as a “magnificent reimagining” of Boubil and Schönberg’s musical — now seen by more than 130 million people worldwide.

The "Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular" is an expanded version of the "Les Misérables: The Staged Concert," featuring an extraordinary new design, staging, and a company and crew of over 110 people, including an international all-star cast, a large ensemble, and a sweeping live orchestra.

The full casting will be revealed soon.

The show premiered in the UK and Europe in September 2024, originally titled "Les Misérables: The Arena Spectacular," and is currently ongoing. The tour has been performed in over 15 countries and regions.

Tickets for the Manila season will officially go on sale on Aug. 11, 10 AM onwards via TicketWorld. Theater fans can enjoy early access to tickets by signing up for the GMG Productions’ "Les Misérables: World Tour Spectacular" waitlist at the website here.

A pre-sale period for Unionbank cardholders and GMG Productions waitlist subscribers will run from Aug. 4 to 8, 2025.

"Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular" follows Victor Hugo’s classic tale of broken dreams, unrequited love, passion, sacrifice, and redemption. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, the musical has a grand score of iconic songs including “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “One Day More,” and “Do You Hear the People Sing?”

This countdown is headlined by Jessica Sanchez, fresh from her historic win as “America’s Got Talent” Season 20 Grand Champion, marking her first return to the Philippines since the victory. Bistro Rising 2025 makes its much-awaited return to Manila with a renewed focus on cross-border collaboration, highlighting a new wave of Filipino indieartists from Singapore and the Philippines.

This one-night showcase is set to take place on Dec. 29, 2025, at the 70s Bistro in Quezon City.

Co-headlining the show are three Singapore -based Filipino bands making waves in the city-state’s underground music scene: iLaya, a soul-pop act with a smooth, emotive edge; Nostress, known for their reflective indie rock sound; and The Next Wave, an ‘80s new wave-inspired band. Joining them on-stage are Shumi, a Bulacan-based city pop band, and Rooftop Reveries, an indie pop-rock act celebrated for their compelling songwriting and polished live performances.

Presented by Mushi Entertainment, Bistro Rising 2025 is part of a wider effort to strengthen creative ties between the Philippines and Singapore, both connected by an increasingly visible community of Filipino musicians and talents.

“This event is a testament to the vibrant and growing indie music community in both Singapore and the Philippines, creating opportunities for creative collaboration and talent showcase,” shared Requiem Rising Singapore General Manager and Founder Monx Moncayo.

This family movie features a star-studded ensemble of actors consisting of Gerald Anderson, Bela Padilla, Andrea Brillantes, and Gloria Diaz. The only holiday-themed movie in the roster, “Rekonek” follows the story of several Filipino families who are hit by a global internet outage just a few days before Christmas. Mt. Camisong Forest Park and Events is celebrating its first-ever Christmas Celebration with “Marahuyong Pasko,” a month-long holiday festival blending Cordilleran culture, community craftsmanship, and conscious celebration. The festive season also marks the park’s debut Christmas since its opening to the public in February 2025.

Set against the backdrop of Benguet’s magnificent, forested landscape, Marahuyong Pasko reimagines Christmas through nature-forward experiences, local craftsmanship, and shared traditions. Inspired by the Filipino word marahuyo, meaning “to be enchanted,” the celebration invites guests to slow down and rediscover the wonder of Christmas through simple and meaningful traditions that are rooted in nature.

One of the festival’s highlights is Mt. Camisong’s first-ever light and sound show, running nightly from Dec. 17 to 31, 2025 at Samyo Gardens and Luntian Garden Venue. Designed to the tune of classic Filipino carols, the immersive and illuminating display blends festive visuals with an environmentally friendly approach.

Adding to the holiday soundscape, Cantata at Rondalla sa Dagitab brings chorale and rondalla competitions to the park on Dec. 13 and 21, 2025, highlighting musical talents from Baguio and nearby communities.

Throughout December, guests can enjoy and explore the park’s Christmas Market, a curated bazaar featuring Cordilleran artisans and small local brands. From handwoven textiles and jewelry to wines, honey, crafts, and creative décor, the Christmas market celebrates regional creativity and heritage.

Merchants include Mandeko Kiko, an artisan collective whose name means “let’s sell” in Ibaloi; Danum Wines, a small-batch winery selling red and white tapuey (rice wine) and bugnay wine; Tawid, a jewelry brand blending ancestral Cordilleran heritage with modern artistry; Narda’s Handwoven Arts & Crafts, a heritage brand of handwoven fabrics; Abiakak, a maker of handmade crochet products that range from traditional to playful; and Nectar Knights, a trusted local beekeeper serving pure, raw honey and artisanal hot sauces.

Other brands include Reset Athleisure, a homegrown brand of athleisure wear; Knitting Expedition, a social enterprise crafting hand-knit toys and accessories by the women of the Ifugao rice terraces; Red Dot Collective, a specialty gift studio offering home essentials and more; Philippine Treasures, a local brand selling handcrafted Christmas and home décor; The Frosty Cabin, a corner featuring live doodles and adorable things perfect for gifting; and 3Dprintify, a creative booth offering fun, customized 3D-printed trinkets.

To accommodate the season’s extended festivities, Mt. Camisong is offering longer park hours, allowing guests to catch sunrise views and a sea of clouds at Alapaap View Deck and stay on for the night’s light displays and performances. Visitors can also spend their day exploring the park’s dedicated forest trails, gardens, activity zones, book nooks, and amphitheater spaces.

Camisong also offers a variety of dining options for visitors to try: Alapaap Dining with elevated Filipino cuisine and a dedicated holiday set menu, Marahuyo Café with grab-and-go rice bowls, Muni-muni Food Hall with snacks and beverages from local concessionaires, and more. American pop rock band The Cab makes its long-awaited return to Manila for a special concert on Dec. 13 at the New Frontier Theater. Sing along to the band’s most iconic hits, including “Angel With a Shotgun,” “One of THOSE Nights,” “La La,” and “Stand Up.” The Cab gained fame with their pop rock and pop-punk sound, and their 2014 EP "Lock Me Up" showcased a dance and electro-pop direction with hints of R&B. SVIP tickets include group meet-and-greet and soundcheck access.
