The Roderick Hall Memorial Lectures are making a comeback with a topic that challenges conventional perspectives. In "The Afterlives of Art: Problematising the Anti-War Message," Karl Ian Cheng Chua will examine the complexities surrounding the portrayal of the anti-war message in World War II Japanese war art. Specifically, he will explore the nuances found in intimate picture diaries (e-nikki) and illustrating postcards (e-hagaki).
