Following her incredible award-winning performance in the Oscar-nominated film “Triangle of Sadness,” Filipino actress Dolly de Leon is booked for Hollywood (as she should) after being cast in the upcoming action-comedy movie “Grand Death Lotto.” She will act alongside Hollywood stars Awkwafina, John Cena, and Simu Liu.

Supporting actors Seann William Scott, Ayden Mayeri, and Donald Elise Watkins will also be joining the cast, but Amazon Studios has yet to reveal what roles they’ll play.

According to Deadline’s release on March 22, the Amazon Original film “is set in a very near future, in which a ‘Grand Lottery’ has been established in economically challenged California. The only catch? You’ll need to kill the winner before sundown in order to legally claim their prize.”

Awkwafina will play the role of lottery ticket winner Katie, while John Cena and Simu Liu will play the roles of rivals Noel and Louis Lewis, respectively, who are set to protect Katie until sundown.

The movie will be directed by Paul Feig, who’s behind the works “Bridesmaids” (2011), “The Heat” (2013), “Ghostbusters” (2016), and “The School for Good and Evil” (2022).

Congratulations, Dolly! Well deserved.
