CCP's Pasinaya Celebrates 20th Year With More Venues, Activities
The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is bringing arts and culture closer to Filipinos, as the institution is holding its Pasinaya 2024 not only in Manila but also in cities across Visayas and Mindanao!
Staying true to its theme, “Sulong,” the open house festival’s 20th edition will, for the first time ever, hold simultaneous events at the CCP Complex and its partner museums in Iloilo City and Tagum City, such as the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Arts and the New City Hall Atrium.
From Feb. 3-4, Filipinos will get to witness a wide array of artistic and cultural offerings, such as exhibitions, music, theater, workshops, and literature, among many others.
This includes “Palihan,” an activity where visitors can join various arts and crafts workshops, and “Palabas,” where they can watch unlimited shows from over 3,000 artists in various fields. There’s also the “Palitan” event, where festival programmers and art groups can gather and network.
Meanwhile, “Pagtitipon” will bring Kaisa sa Sining partners from different regions together for the annual art festival, while “Pamilihan” will allow visitors to purchase goods from local producers.
The festival will also delight P-Pop fans with special guest appearances from popular Filipino idol groups KAIA and 1ST.ONE.
Commenting on this year’s festival being on a larger scale than its previous years, CCP president Michelle Nikki Junia said, “Year 2024 will be the year we, at the CCP, continue to move forward, despite the challenges that will come our way.”
Pasinaya 2024 is open to the public and will run on an “experience-all-you-can, pay-what-you-can” scheme. To learn more about the event, visit CCP’s website or follow its Facebook page.
