ICYDK: There's a Studio Ghibli-themed Embroidery Workshop in Maginhawa
If you missed the Studio Ghibli Festival in Maginhawa last April, don't worry! You still have another chance to experience a Ghibli-inspired workshop by Street Kohi on June 15 from 10 AM to 4 PM!
Instructed by embroideress Maine Magno, the workshop will start with a short introduction to embroidery and a basic tutorial on embroidery using backstitches to help you learn about the basics. After that, there will be an embroidery demonstration and a practical application where you can stitch your favorite character on your chosen canvas – may it be a shirt, cap, handkerchief, or such.
Priced at P3,500 per person, the workshop will also include an embroidery tool kit and a certificate of participation. Oh, and to make your experience better, there will also be Ghibli-inspired food and drinks to keep everyone energized throughout the session!
Inspired by the breakfast scene from Howl's Moving Castle, you can enjoy Calcifer's Breakfast which has bacon, egg, and your choice of bread or rice, and topped with melted cheese! For the drink, Street Kohi will serve Sophie's Drink, an espresso-based drink with strawberry, Nutella, and milk – yum!
Slots are limited, so be sure to sign up before they run out! For more updates, follow Street Kohi’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
