For the 86th edition of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) volleyball league, history has been made by the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and National University (NU), as both universities are going to the championships for men’s and women’s volleyball games.

Both teams have ultimately advanced to the finals after they both clinched their spots against De La Salle University (DLSU) and Far Eastern University (FEU), making them the last teams standing for both leagues and men’s and women’s games.

The first game for the finals is set to start on May 11 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, game 2 on May 15 at Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, and if both teams tie, the final game will be on May 18, which will also happen at the MOA Arena.

This marks a first in UAAP history and it's been 16 years since neither De La Salle University nor Ateneo de Manila University managed to secure a spot in the final round.

UAAP stated that there would be only one ticket for both games and reminded everyone to only purchase tickets on authorized ticketing outlets.
