All taxi trips from Changi Airport will have an additional S$3 starting May 19. The temporary surcharge on taxi fares, which will last until June 30, was prompted by the increase in petrol prices, according to the airport on May 12.
At present, the airport rate from 5 PM to 11:59 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is S$5 but will increase to S$8. Outside this timeframe, the fare is at S$3, while the revised rate will be S$6.
Metered taxis for hire are available in the Arrival areas of Terminal 1 and 3. The estimated travel from the airport going to the city is 30 minutes and may cost between S$20 and S$40. For the complete taxi fare guide leaving the airport, visit the Changi Airport website.
