ERP Rates to Increase at 10 Gantries Along AYE and CTE to Ease Traffic
The electronic road pricing (ERP) rates at select gantries along two major expressways will be raised by S$1 to manage traffic congestion, the Land Transport Authority announced on Feb. 10.
The rate increase covers three gantries along the Ayer Jurong Expressway (AYE) after Jurong Town Hall between 8 AM and 9:30 AM and the gantry after North Buona Vista towards Tuas from 6 PM to 7 PM; four gantries along southbound Central Expressway (CTE) after Braddell Road and PIE Slip Road into southbound CTE from 9:30 AM to 10 AM; and two gantries along northbound CTE after PIE between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
The new rates will take effect on Feb. 14.
The LTA said traffic has built up at certain stretches along AYE and CTE due to the gradual return of employees to their offices.
