SFA Recalls Two Bubble Milk Tea Products Over Unpermitted Food Additives
Love milk tea? You might want to check the brand first before bringing them to the cashier for payment.
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has announced in a Facebook post that they’re recalling two bubble milk tea products after detecting the presence of dehydroacetic acid, an unpermitted food additive under the Singapore Food Regulations.
Imported by Green Olive Group Pte Ltd, the recall is ongoing for Xiang Piao Piao Muscovado Sugar Mix (Bubble & Red Bean) Milk Tea with batch number HZ04L18414 20220926 and Matcha Mix (Bubble & Raisin) Milk Tea with batch number HZ04L18413 20220926. Both products are from China.
Those who have already bought and consumed the mentioned milk tea products shouldn’t worry too much, though.
According to the SFA, “The food safety risk associated with consumption of the implicated products is low. Nonetheless, consumers who have purchased the implicated products and have concerns about their health should not consume it.”
For enquiries, the public may contact their point of purchase.
