Singapore to Host Upcoming 35th SEA Games in 2029
Singapore will host the upcoming 35th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2029, according to a joint press release from the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) and Sport Singapore (SportSG).
The SEA Games Federation accepted the city-state's bid to host the regional multi-sport event during a meeting in Hanoi on May 12.
Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong also shared the news via Instagram post, “Am looking forward to the 35th SEA Games being another defining moment for Singapore as our athletes compete against some of the best in the region, backed by strong home ground support. It’s also a great time to showcase our hospitality, and further strengthen the ties with our Southeast Asian neighbours.”
