Tickets to JJ Lin’s In-Person Charity Concert This November Raffled Off Due to Limited Capacity Amid Pandemic
Due to the pandemic, tickets to Mandopop singer JJ Lin’s much-awaited concert were distributed in a rather unconventional way.
Titled “After the Rain,” the concert will be held at the Marina Bay Sands Theatre on Nov. 27 and 28 at 7:30 PM. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to charity organization Community Chest, which is also a key beneficiary under Marina Bay Sands’ corporate social responsibility.
The seating capacity at the venue will be limited in compliance with COVID-19 measures. As a result, tickets were made available through a ballot last Nov. 16. Fans were made to purchase tickets in pairs given the current restrictions. Participants who successfully scored a ticket based on their preferred ticket category will be notified via email on Nov. 19.
Meanwhile, participants who joined the raffle but were unsuccessful to get their desired ticket category will get another chance to purchase from downgraded ticket categories.
The VIP category goes for S$688 for two tickets. The other categories are A-Reserve for S$538, B-Reserve for S$388, and C-Reserve for S$288 (covers a pair of tickets per category).
“After the Rain” is JJ Lin’s first in-person concert since the pandemic began in 2020. Concert-goers must be fully vaccinated and present a valid negative pre-event test to enter the venue.
