Sawadee! Thailand’s Chatuchak Night Market Back in Singapore ‘til April 2
Sawadee foodies and shopaholics in Singapore! Chatuchak Market returns to the city-state to satisfy your cravings for food, shopping, and everything under the sun.
The Chatuchak Market in Singapore returned last Feb. 7 and will run until April 2. You are welcome to drop by from Tuesdays to Sundays between 4 PM and 10 PM.
Get ready to immerse yourself in Thai culture as the night market is packed with more than 180 stalls from the kingdom, bringing in authentic Thai knickknacks, clothing, handicrafts, grooming services, and more.
Here are some Thai dishes to try at the Chatuchak Market:
- Grilled barbecue chicken
- Boat noodles
- Moo ping (Thai grilled pork skewers)
- Coconut shakes
- Thai-style roti
- Rad na (fried flat rice noodles in thick gravy with meat and veggies)
- Thai kway chap
- Leng saap moo (spicy pork spine ribs)
- Mango sticky rice and luk chup (marzipan dessert shaped like fruits and veggies filled with sweet mung bean paste),
- Cha chak (Thai teh tarik)
It is anticipated that around 450,000 people will visit the night market. For those bringing a car, the venue offers free parking for the first 3,800 vehicles. On the other hand, commuters will be provided with shuttle bus service from the Sixth Avenue Station Downtown Line (Exit B). For pick-up schedule, check out The Grandstand website.
