BTS’ Jimin Pays Tribute to Marina Bay Sands in Virtual Gallery
BTS member Jimin, also known as Baby J, selected the popular tourist attraction, Marina Bay Sands, as his favourite destination in Google’s virtual gallery.
The street-view gallery, dubbed “BTS x Street Galleries,” is a collaboration between BTS and Google where ARMYs can virtually explore 14 iconic locations featuring specially curated artworks by the K-Pop boys themselves.
Jimin personally handpicked Marina Bay Sands as his special spot because it reminds him of his band’s “Love Yourself” concert in Singapore “like it was just yesterday.” “Speaking of loving oneself, I have been on a journey of self-love and acceptance in the past few years. Let me take you on this journey with some artworks that remind me of who I am,” Jimin said.
In Jimin’s gallery, fans can expect to see artifacts, paintings, and photos of BTS during their concert at the National Stadium in 2019.
Following the launch of the virtual gallery, Marina Bay Sands on Friday expressed its gratitude to Jimin through a Facebook post. “Hey Jimin, you’ve a special place in our heart too! During your next visit to Singapore, we would love to bring you for an evening run around the scenic Marina Bay or even dance to your song Filter at our SkyPark!”
BTS’ latest collaboration with Google comes after the band’s hiatus announcement. While the group will not reunite anytime soon, ARMYs can still look forward to solo projects from the members.
