MOH: 31,500 Individuals Could Lose ‘Fully Vaccinated’ Status by Feb. 14
About 31,500 people aged 18 years and older have yet to make an appointment for their booster shot and risk losing their status as “fully vaccinated” by next week, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Feb. 8.
The ministry was referring to individuals who have taken the last dose of their primary series more than 270 days ago. This includes non-mRNA primary vaccination regimens under the National Vaccination Programme, such as three doses of the Sinovac-CoronaVac or Sinopharm vaccines.
“[F]rom 14 February 2022, these individuals will no longer be considered as fully vaccinated, and their vaccination status will revert to ‘additional dose needed,’” the MOH said.
It urged these individuals to have their booster shots taken either by appointment or walk-in. The latter is available in vaccination centres every Monday to Thursday before 7 PM.
