Step into the future at "Another World Is Possible," an inspiring exhibition running from Sept. 13, 2025, to Feb. 22, 2026, at the ArtScience Museum. Co-curated by ArtScience Museum and visionary architect-filmmaker Liam Young, this exhibition explores world-building through cinema, architecture, design, and speculative fiction, offering a bold reimagining of tomorrow.
Unlike the dystopian themes common in Western narratives, Singapore’s perspective on the future is grounded in environmental pragmatism, long-term planning, and collective responsibility. This exhibition reflects that sensibility through biodiverse vertical cities by WOHA, floating farms by Pomeroy Studio, and other innovative projects that challenge how communities may live and thrive in the decades ahead.
Highlights include works by international and regional creators such as Björk, Torlarp Larpjaroensook, Osborne Macharia, Ong Kian Peng, Jakob Kudsk Steensen, and Ming Wong, alongside Liam Young’s acclaimed "Planet City." Visitors will be immersed in speculative artworks that propose new ways of thinking, living, and designing futures that are both sustainable and hopeful.
As part of the SG60 season and Singapore Design Week 2025, "Another World Is Possible" invites audiences to imagine futures not yet written while celebrating Singapore’s 60th anniversary.
