Bangkok Governor Mulls Use of ‘Traffy Fondue’ Against Corruption
After the successful launch of the mobile app Traffy Fondue, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt is mulling over the possibility of utilising the same platform in which citizens can report corruption incidents, as per a report by Bangkok Post today.
Traffy Fondue is currently used to submit complaints and issues about public services, sending alerts to all 50 Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) district offices. According to the city governor, the app received more than 90,000 complaints, 40,000 of which have been settled, as of writing.
Once an issue is reported, BMA offices just need to check them on the app to address the problem.
In line with the possible expansion of app usage, Governor Chadchart said the informant’s personal details will remain confidential, but there are no plans to give cash rewards.
