Brazilian Beauty Queen Is Miss Grand International 2022; Thai Bet Wins 1st Runner-Up

Isabelle Menin of Brazil has been hailed as Miss Grand International 2022. The 25-year-old bested 67 other candidates during the live coronation night held at Sentul International Convention Center in West Java, Indonesia on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

During the final round, Isabelle was asked the question: “If you had an opportunity to send a message to President Vladimir Putin, what would you say?” The Brazilian-born beauty queen said: “War just brings pain. We need to start thinking about what we can do even if it’s small actions. Together, we can rise above violence and brutality.”

Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thúc Thuy Tiên crowned the new beauty queen. Meanwhile, Thai bet Engfa Waraha bagged the first runner-up. A model and a singer, Engfa won Miss Grand Thailand 2022 on April 30.

Here are the other winners of the Miss Grand International 2022:

• 2nd runner-up: Andina Julie from Indonesia
• 3rd runner-up: Luiseth Materán from Venezuela
• 4th runner-up: Mariana Bečková from Czech Republic

Together with the winning queens, Isabelle will stay in Bangkok throughout her reign to promote awareness about the "Stop the War and Violence” campaign.
