Dream Theater, one of the most storied metal bands of the past 40 years, will be playing in Bangkok on May 7 in support of their latest album, “A View From the Top of the World.” The band made the announcement over Twitter, and will be touring across Southeast Asia. Ticket sales went live last March 23.

The “Top of the World Tour” stop in Thailand will be held in MGI Hall. The early bird ticket batch is limited to only 500 passes, with each costing THB2,800. On the other hand, the pre-sale tickets are a few hundred baht more expensive at THB3,200.

If you elect to get your tickets at the gate, it will cost THB3,600.

Here are the dates in Asia:

  • April 25-26: Blue Square Mastercard Hall, Seoul, South Korea
  • Apil. 30: Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Japan
  • May 1: Civic Centre Forest Hall, Nagoya, Japan
  • May 2: Osaka International Conference Centre Osaka Japan
  • May 4: Smart Araneta Coliseum, Manila, Philippines
  • May 7: MGI Hall, Bangkok, Thailand
  • May 12: EcoPark Ancol, Jakata, Indonesia

Alongside Queensrÿche and Fates Warning, Dream Theater completes the big three of progressive metal. To date, the band has sold over 12 million records worldwide. Here’s hoping they play “Wither,” one of the most iconic songs that instills all the good things about Dream Theater.
