In 2019, the partnership of KAWS and UNIQLO took the art and fashion world by storm, causing a viral shopping frenzy. Now, the two iconic brands are gearing up to electrify the fashion and art scene once more with a fresh collaborative UT collection set to officially drop on Sept. 7. This highly anticipated line is released in tandem with the launch of Phaidon's newest KAWS book.

The announcement, dripping in anticipation, came via Instagram on Aug. 24. A teaser video showcased the emblematic KAWS's Companion figure, dynamically breaking through a stack of branded art books to unveil a T-shirt featuring KAWS’ artwork with "What Party: Tide (2021)" emblazoned. The message was crystal clear with their caption: “New Project. Coming soon.”

Delving deeper, the collection is a visual tribute to the Phaidon-published book. Enthusiasts can expect T-shirts and sweatshirts adorned with KAWS' iconic COMPANION and BFF characters, the widely recognized XX motif, and evocative illustrations taken directly from the book cover.

Catering to all, this unisex line will cater to both adults and kids. As an added incentive, shoppers buying the art book along with an item from the UT collection are in for a treat - a limited-edition shoulder bag, but only while stocks last.

This eagerly awaited UT collection is set to make its grand appearance on Sept. 7 and will be up for grabs at UNIQLO stores and online via the UNIQLO webstore.
