The Third Edition of Bangkok Art Biennale Is Happening This Weekend

Contemporary art festival Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB) is returning this weekend for its third edition and will run for four months, from Oct. 22, 2022, to Feb. 23, 2023, at different cultural and heritage venues around the capital. Supported by The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and other big partners, this year’s theme “Chaos: Calm” will feature more than 200 art pieces by 73 artists from 35 countries.

“The Bangkok Art Biennale really is an amazing event that’s not to be missed. Stretching across the city and incorporating art and cultural spaces as well as iconic landmarks, temples, and public spaces, it offers tourists and locals alike the chance to experience contemporary art in a fascinating setting like no other,” TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn was quoted as saying.

Locals and tourists will be able to see the work of BAB’s featured artists at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, Central World, JWD Art Space, Museum Siam, The Prelude at One Bangkok, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Samyan Mitrtown, The PARQ, Wat Arun, Wat Pho, and Wat Prayoon. A virtual venue will also be available for those who can’t visit the venues personally.
