Laura and Agung Prabowo’s Prohibition-Style Bar, Lockdown, Opens in Sept.

Renowned bar veterans Laura and Agung Prabowo, the Indonesian duo behind The Old Man, Penicillin, and Dead&, are bringing their trailblazing vision to Hong Kong once again with their latest venture, LOCKDOWN, set to open in September.

Drawing inspiration from Hong Kong's extended lockdown during the recent pandemic and the Prohibition Era in the United States, these periods of isolation and lockdown sparked the concept for the bar, recreating a bygone era with modern twists.

According to Laura and Agung, LOCKDOWN brings together a fusion of forgotten classics and cutting-edge experimentation, where artistry and classic techniques meet the latest technology and trends in mixology. The bar’s cocktail menu boasts around 25 handcrafted creations, divided into three categories: Experimental, Vintage, and Remastered Classics. Each cocktail is priced at HK$100, allowing guests to explore various flavours and styles.

The food menu draws inspiration from indigenous Asian culinary techniques, offering affordably priced dishes ranging HK$150 to HK$200, designed for sharing.

Where: LOCKDOWN, G/F, 27 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong
