Japanese Haven MINATO Presents Artisanal Weekend Offerings

MINATO, a refined Japanese dining destination in Wan Chai, welcomes spring with an exquisite Torio Bento brunch and a lavish nine-course Tsubaki Teppanyaki dinner — perfect for weekend indulgence.
MINATO offers a variety of dining experiences, with every detail reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to Japanese craftsmanship and hospitality. There are five teppanyaki rooms that accommodate groups of 6 to 12, a moon-themed private dining room for up to 8 guests, and an intimate sushi bar with counter seating.

On weekends and public holidays, MINATO presents the Torio Bento (HK$438 per person) as a lunchtime option, a beautifully curated three-course brunch presented in a handcrafted Arita porcelainjubako box, a nod to Japan’s artisanal traditions.
Inside, diners will find an array of seasonal sashimi, a rich and flavorful A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Tataki Donburi, and fragrant Kitsune Inaniwa Udon.
For those looking for a weekday treat, MINATO’s lunch sets (from HK$348 per person) offer a well-balanced meal, including an appetizer, chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg), miso soup, and dessert or coffee.
Options range from the Premium Sashimi Set (HK$488) to the comforting Prime Beef Sukiyaki Set (HK$368), ensuring something for every palate.

As evening falls, MINATO’s teppanyaki experience takes center stage, with a range of teppanyaki dinner sets available daily on weekends and public holidays. The Tsubaki Weekend Teppanyaki Dinner, (priced at HK$738 per person) showcases nine expertly crafted courses, including an appetizer, seasonal sashimi, and a quartet of mains.
Seafood lovers should try their Black Tiger King Prawn and South African Abalone, delicately seared on the teppan to enhance their natural sweetness. Craving meat? Try their A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, thinly sliced and wrapped with garlic and green onions for an extra depth of flavor.
Beyond its set menus, MINATO’s à la carte offerings are just as tantalizing, including Sea Urchin with Black Truffle Baked Rice (HK$988 for four), as well as the premium mouth-watering Teppanyaki A5 Miyazaki Wagyu (from HK$1298/200g).
