Curious what Kyoto’s seasonal produce tastes like with a Cantonese twist? Pedder Chinese is bringing ingredients like Kujo scallions, Kamo Nasu eggplant, and mizuna greens into the kitchen for its new Taste of Seasonal Kyoto menu, with five dishes to work your way through.
First up is the Kyoto Kujo Scallion Pancake, combining fragrant scallion aromas with a crisp texture. Next is Kamo Nasu eggplant, which gets double billing: the Steamed Kyoto Kamo Nasu Eggplant with Aged Salted Calamansi is tender and delicate with savory citrus notes, while the Crispy Typhoon Shelter Kyoto Kamo Nasu Eggplant turns up the flavor with a crisp, golden exterior and aromatic Typhoon Shelter-style seasoning.

There’s something for dumpling fans, too. Fresh mizuna greens meet savory pork in the soft and delicate Steamed Kyoto Mizuna Pork Dumplings, while the Pan-Fried Kyoto Mizuna Pork Dumplings offer a golden, crisp alternative.
The Taste of Seasonal Kyoto menu is available from 11:30 AM to 3 PM for lunch and 6 PM to 10:30 PM for dinner service. For more details and updates, follow Pedder Chinese on Instagram and Facebook.
