This Restaurant in AIRSIDE Mall Has an Indoor Surfing Spot
Attention, Hong Kong foodies! A unique dining experience awaits you at this new indoor spot in Hong Kong, which features both a restaurant and a surfing house!
Called Groundswell, the new restobar was unveiled earlier last month, delighting diners in the city with its cool and breezy atmosphere. With a blend of culinary excellence and exciting activities for pro and wannabe surfers, the restaurant will give you the best of surf and turf, quite literally!
Staying true to its concept, Groundswell serves cuisine from various surf islands in Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Some menu items you can enjoy here are Ikan Bakar (grilled fish), Beef Rendang (dry curry), and Seafood Nasi Goreng (seafood fried rice).
The restaurant’s lunch menu also features a range of easy-to-eat salad, rice, and noodle bowls, such as the Larb Gai Salad and Thai Boat Noodle Soup. For dessert, one of their must-tries is the Banana Fritter, a banana snack commonly found in Southeast Asia.
For those who would love a drink or two, the restaurant also serves specially concocted cocktails inspired by surfing destinations.
Of course, guests can also avail themselves of the indoor surfing activity, whether they are professionals or surfing novices, guided by the venue’s experienced surfing managers. There’s also a flowboarding activity for first-time surfers, but remember to bring your swimwear and towels if you’re trying these out!
Groundswell’s restaurant and surfing house are both available for reservations. To book or learn about all of its offerings, go here.
