‘Tis The Season to Indulge in Your Favourite Christmas Foods in Hong Kong (And Where to Get Them)

Let’s admit it. Apart from Christmas shopping and installing Christmas trees, we are all looking forward to our favourite foods this festive season to fill our tummies!
Traditional yet scrumptious Christmas food is a must to complete every household’s holiday table. From meat options to seafood dishes and sweet treats to dumplings, we’ve rounded up some of the best Christmas foods in Hong Kong that’ll surely add cheer to your yuletide feast. Whether you're planning to stay in or dine out, here’s where you can get them.
Turkey with Stuffing @ Henry
Aside from Thanksgiving every November, turkey is also the centrepiece during Christmas in Hong Kong. Poured with fresh beer, wine, or juice is what makes the caramelised turkey skin crispy and flavourful.
There’s a slew of restaurants in Hong Kong to get your turkey fix, but one of the most popular is Texan steakhouse Henry. Located in Rosewood, Henry serves American-inspired succulent turkey combined with the perfect condiments and side dishes.
Weighing six to 6.5 kilograms, Henry’s turkey (by Rosewood Hong Kong Hotel) consists of mashed potatoes, braised brussels sprouts with chestnuts and smoked bacon, roasted root vegetables, sausage and cranberry stuffing, turkey gravy, and cranberry sauce.
Corn Wonton @ Miss Lee
One of the traditional Christmas foods in Hong Kong is the creamy corn wonton. Considering its versatile quality, you shouldn’t miss this Asian dumpling recipe during the festive season. Made with chicken or pork, corn wonton can be cooked in various ways. You can mix it with homemade spinach, sweet corn soup, or steamed with chili sauce. Vegetarian/vegan restaurant Miss Lee is offering corn wonton as one of their exclusive dishes this holiday season starting on Dec 24-26 and Dec 31-Jan 1.
You can make your own version of corn wonton at home to save money, but, mind you, don’t skimp on its flavour and seasoning.

Christmas Pudding @ The Globe
Christmas pudding has 13 ingredients that are believed to symbolise Jesus Christ and his 12 disciples. Usually, Christmas puddings taste sweet and fruity, and are filled with a generous amount of custard.
If you’re craving for something sweet, British pub The Globe is offering one of the best Christmas puddings this festive season. You can visit them at the city’s entertainment center, Soho district, where beer lovers can also enjoy a selection of ales and other beverages.
Mince Pie @ Kinship
Mince pie or mincemeat pie is a classic British dessert dish made with dried fruits, nuts, and other spices. Eating mince pie has become a traditional Christmas food in Hong Kong. In case you missed the warmth and aroma of freshly-baked mince pie, Kinship will treat you to this yuletide season.
The restaurant’s Christmas menu includes appetizers, main course, sides, and desserts. Their menu also has an exciting surprise called “Little present from Santa” priced for HK$588.
Fresh Seafood @ Bostonian Seafood & Grill
Seafood dishes might be a bit untraditional, but if you’re into exquisite flavours of shellfish and crustaceans, you can visit Bostonian Seafood & Grill at The Langham Hotel.
Available until Jan. 2, 2022, treat your friends and family with Bostonian’s festive dining option featuring fresh coastal seafood like mussels, lobster, char-grilled octopus, pan-fried sustainable Irish salmon, and more.
