Discover the future of movement at Freespace Dance 2025, taking place from Nov. 20 to Dec. 7, 2025, at Freespace and Xiqu Centre in the West Kowloon Cultural District. Returning for its third edition under the theme “Speculative Futures: Asia-Pacific Perspectives,” this dynamic festival brings together visionary artists from Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Korea, and beyond to reimagine the boundaries of dance.
Highlights include “Bridging Bridge” by TS Crew (Hong Kong) and contact Gonzo (Osaka), an electrifying exploration of unity and movement; “No Time To Die: An Inert Liquid Assembly” by Nadim Abbas and Chan Wai-lok, a fluid cross-disciplinary installation; “U>N>I>T>E>D” by Chunky Move (Melbourne), a visually stunning meditation on spirituality in the digital age; and “Jungle” by the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company, a visceral reflection on life and instinct.
The festival also features workshops, artistic exchanges, and lectures, including Future Dictionary, FIRST Creation Platform, and Dance in the Times of Sustainability, exploring how art responds to our evolving world.

Experience the world’s rich artistic traditions and modern creativity at Asia+ Festival 2025, one of Hong Kong’s most anticipated cultural events. Running from Sept. 9, 2025, this year’s edition promises a dynamic lineup that bridges cultures through theatre, music, dance, and exhibitions.
The festival will open with “The Cherry Orchard,” directed by internationally acclaimed Simon Stone and starring Korean icons Jeon Do-yeon and Park Hae-soo, offering a bold reimagining of the classic play. Japanese Festival Returns to Happy Valley Racecourse This November
The crowd-favorite Japanese Festival is back at Happy Valley Racecourse this November, presented by The Hong Kong Jockey Club in partnership with the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong and the Japan Racing Association. The festivities continue with thrilling night races on November 5, 12, and 19, blending racing excitement with immersive cultural moments. A highlight of the festival includes the Japan Racing Association Trophy on November 5, promising an unforgettable night of sport and culture.
Feel the Energy in the Beer Garden
The Beer Garden will pulse with energy as international pop singer Natalia D takes the stage, accompanied by dynamic dancers performing upbeat pop anthems. Attendees can sing along and dance in this lively corner of the racecourse, designed to keep spirits high throughout the evening.
Enter the Lucky Draw for a Chance to Win a Travel Voucher to Japan
On all four Japanese Festival race days, patrons who spend HK$100 or more at designated Beer Garden food trucks can register on-site to enter a lucky draw for a chance to win a designated HK$8,000 travel voucher to Japan. Participants must follow @HKJCEntertainment on Instagram and upload a photo taken during the festival, tagging the account. One lucky winner will be chosen per race day.
