Silk Road Sounds Debuts Blå Värld’s "down by the river" MV Ft. Eek-A-Mouse
Debuting his brand-new single with a music video premiere to match, Gothenburg rapper Blå Värld is stirring the music scene with his latest release, "down by the river," the fourth single leading up to his much-anticipated debut album, ‘HÆRTBRÆK CITY.’
Released on the renowned Hong Kong label Silk Road Sounds, this self-produced track is a testament to Anton Kristiansson's skill in seamlessly blending diverse musical genres, resulting in a sound that is both fresh and resonant.
Fourth on the tracklist of his upcoming 21-track album, "down by the river" blends soulful hip-hop beats with the rhythmic pulse of reggae and dancehall from collaborator Eek-A-Mouse, known for his distinctive style and contributions to the genre. The song is part of an auditory narrative that strings together a psychedelic love letter to the megacity of Tokyo, touching on themes of late night introspection.
This post-summer blues single also comes with a visual counterpart shot and directed by YETI OUT’s Arthur Bray.
“We shot the MV in the summer wandering through Stockholm with Blå Värld (fka Anton Kristiansson), kept things fun and light-hearted. It was an honour to work with Eek-A-Mouse, an icon in roots reggae and dancehall,” shares Arthur.
