Cosmetics brand La Maison Valmont opened its first outpost in Macau in November 2022, joining a list of brands in a city that melds beauty and opulence.

The new La Maison Valmont store can be found at T Galleria Beauty by DFS. Shoppers are now closer to its signature products such as the face care set Elixir Des Glaciers and perfume line Storie Veneziane. The Swiss brand is known for its anti-aging comsetics and technology and has been around since 1985. Aside from the products on display, the T Galleria store also offers luxurious treatments in a modern space.

In the mood for a shopping spree? Great news, because Galeries Lafayette, Europe’s largest upmarket department store, is opening soon in Macau!

To be unveiled on Jan. 26, Galeries Lafayette Macau will house over 100 luxury fashion, fragrance, beauty, and lifestyle brands in its 35,000-square-metre space. This includes 10 first-in-Macau brands, including Kuboraum, JW Anderson, and L:a Bruket.

There will also be a Chinese New Year-themed pop-up store by fragrance brand Byredo, Macau’s first Marni Market store, and a The EDIT by Galeries Lafayette shop. Visitors can also feast their eyes on the seven-metre light installation in the shape of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

To celebrate the opening, a beauty-themed drone show will be hosted by Galeries Lafayette and cosmetics label Charlotte Tilbury at 7 PM on Jan. 26 by the Nam Van Lake.

Aside from Macau, Galeries Lafayette has also recently opened in Shenzhen and Chongqing, China.

Founded in 1894, Galeries Lafayette started as a small fashion store in Paris. Today, the brand has grown into a department store chain with locations in various parts of the world, including Dubai, Jakarta, and Doha.

New House of Jewels in the Shoppes at Four Seasons Is a Luxury Haven

House of Jewels, the latest concept of DFS Group, made its debut in the Shoppes at Four Seasons Macao back in May, becoming the first jewellery concept store of the retailer.

The House of Jewels spans more than 2,500 square feet and features the finest selection of gems and accessories from nine jewellers in France, Italy, and the United Kingdom, seven of which are exclusive to DFS Macau. These are Damiani, dinh van, Fred, Garrard, Ginette NY, Persée Paris, RedLine, Stephen Webster, and Vanrycke.

The concept store boasts an airy, semi-open modular space with soft blush tones and minimalist fixtures, according to the Moodie Davitt Report back on May 11. It also has a VIP room and an Experience Bar and offers gift-wrapping services for purchases.

As per DFS Managing Director Macau Johan Pretorius, House of Jewels is focused on delivering curated, exclusive offerings and personalised customer service to patrons of luxury jewellery the world over.

Meanwhile, DFS Senior Vice President of Watches and Jewelry Charles-Henry Chenard shared that DFS has long been known for being the authority in luxury jewellery and continues to adapt to the times and its customers' needs.

"We have evolved alongside our seasoned shoppers – as well as their next generation of taste makers – and have answered their needs by developing concepts such as House of Jewels which features a curated selection of fine jewellery: from precious colour stones and diamond engagement rings to collectible pieces," Chenard was quoted as saying. "We look forward to welcoming clients to this exclusive new selection and bespoke experience."

The concept stores have been especially designed by Creative Director Francesco Risso and the in-house Architecture team at Marni. They feature a luxurious, immersive customer experience, with Ultra-Marine Blue as the sole colour accent. The Londoner boutique emphasizes the gradient blue carpet and silver mirror ceramic tiles, akin to the imagined living space of an art collector.
